EVAN BALDWIN

Physiotherapist

Over the past 10 years I have worked in a number of respected independent clinics treating a wide cross section of athletes, from beginners and improvers to highly experienced and competitive athletes. Having masters degrees in both physiotherapy and neuroscience has allowed me to integrate a deep understanding of how the brain controls the body and how the body is intended to move with current evidence based treatment techniques.

Familiarize Yourself, So You Feel Right At Home

Entering a new clinic for the first time can be intimidating. Nerves are absolutely normal to experience when heading into your first physiotherapy appointment. Take the time to meet our team, as well as familiarize yourself with the proceedings of your first visit to our clinic.

Meet the faces that are running our Physiotherapy Clinic in Calgary and schedule an appointment today.

Your First Visit

At your first visit, you will be required to fill out new patient intake forms. These forms will ask questions regarding your health history, reason for visiting our clinic and other relevant information. We often advise new patients to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out their forms before their appointment time.

Your physiotherapist will begin their assessment by asking you various questions regarding your condition. They will also review your new patient forms. From there, they may conduct various tests to determine a proper diagnosis. They will also evaluate your strength and range of motion. They may also perform a gait analysis at this time, depending on your injury or condition.

This assessment helps create a suitable treatment plan for you. Every treatment plan is unique to the individual and their situation. At Versa Movement Collective, we know what works for one person does not always work for the next. You are unique and you need a unique treatment protocol suited to you.

After Your First Visit

With the various tests performed, some individuals do feel sore after their initial assessment. This is completely normal. However, if you experience extreme pain, please contact our clinic.

After your assessment, your treatment plan is created based on your diagnosis. The length of your treatment plan depends on a variety of factors, such as the severity of your injury, your age, your current health and more. You may require a few sessions over a few weeks or several sessions over the duration of many months.

Either way, you can count on our team to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We want you to feel right at home. And if there is any way we can improve, just let us know! The Versa Movement Collective team is always looking for ways to serve our patients better.

GOLF PERFORMANCE

We offer a comprehensive support service that is tailored toward long term golf injury prevention that combines with movement assessment, personal training and technical skill development.

THE VERSAMC GOLF ADVANTAGE

VersaMC is inspired by the multi-modal approach of the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI); where medical, fitness, and coaching professionals work together to help a player accelerate their game and play injury free. In collaboration with head teaching professional Jay Myren (Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club), the VersaMC team is passionate about seeing the TPI model put into practice in the Calgary area. Success of this model is easily visible on the professional tours, collegiate and amateur levels; and is most effective when all of the disciplines are able to work under one roof. VersaMC is proud to have partnered with Priddis Greens Golf and Country club where we are able to utilize their state of the art Performance Centre. This represents a fantastic opportunity to fully implement the golf physiotherapy TPI model with a strong emphasis on coaching and technical development; excellent technological tools including K-Vest, Trackman, and Boditrak; along with a versatile space that allows for year round player development.

INTEGRATED APPROACH

Our integrated multi-disciplinary approach provides the best possible pathway to staying injury free long term. We combine physiotherapy support with biomechanical assessment, strength training and technical coaching to ensure you build a resilient body that can handle the demands of your sport.
